Woods is the founder and CEO of the New York-based Black Entrepreneurs Foundation and co-founder of the Black Entrepreneur Challenge, an initiative to improve the lives of Black Americans and encourage them to start their own businesses.
Woods was appointed as a National Medal of Arts by President Donald Trump in January.
